Storyboard Text

  • We're all so sick of the Hare's boasting!
  • I'm the fastest animal ever!  No one could ever beat me!
  • I challenge you to a race Hare!
  • Ok, but I'll have to warn you, I'm the fastest, and I'll win!
  • Oh no!  The Hare is in the lead!  I must beat him!
  • One day, in a forest, there was a Hare who kept on boasting about how fast he was.  Every animal in the forest was tired of his boasting, and wished that it would stop.
  • Yay!  I'm ahead!
  • In order to end this boasting, the Tortoise decided to challenge the Hare to a race!  The race would start the next morning.
  • I won, even though I'm slow!  Now Hare will stop his boasting!
  • The next day, the race started at 8:00 am.  Once the race started, the Hare was in the lead.
  • Don't brag about your lightning pace, for slow and steady wins the race.
  • The Hare was so far ahead, that he decided to take a short nap under the tree next to the race track.  In doing this, he let the slow and steady Tortoise get ahead of the boastful Hare.
  • Finally, the Tortoise won against the Hare.  This made the Hare very upset.
  • Oh no!  Hare won!
  • From this racing experience, the Hare learned one very valuable life lesson.
