  • During the early years of the United States younger countries in South America who were struggling to build economy. At this time European countries were trying to take control of these countries, to make sure they don't do this the U.S created the Monroe doctrine which allow no European countries to come to and puppet these young countries.
  • The U.S signed the treaty with the countries and the document stated that if there were to be taken over by European countries, the U.S would go to war with them.
  • The European countries were anger with the document as they could not obtain resources and control of the countries.
