Hello today i am going to share how the water cycle works. The water cycle is: The changing of water into air, condensing into clouds, and then precipitates down to earth.
Fun fact about Evaporation. ¨Evaporation of sweat on the skin helps control the human body's temperature.¨
Let´s talk about Evaporation. Evaporation is the process that occurs when water changes from a liquid to a gas caused by heat.
Now let´s talk about condensation. Condensation is the cooling of water in the atmosphere, changing from gas to a liquid.
Fun fact: Condensation is the opposite of evaporation. Evaporation uses heat where as Condensation uses cooling.
Another part in the water cycle is Precipitation. Precipitation is when water droplets fall from the atmosphere in the form of rain, sleet, snow, or hail.
Fun fact: "The maximum speed of a falling raindrop can differ from 18 to 22 miles per hour." -Ohfact
The next step in the water cycle is Transportation. This is the passage of water vapor from a plant to the atmosphere.
The final step is Run Off. Run Off is rainfall that is not absorbed by soil and then travels to a pond, lake, river, or ocean.
In Newark They are doing a project to protect the clean river and ponds that fill with Run Off.
