  • in October of 1836,the Mexican government cancelled Edwards contract and Hadens brother Benjamin took action. Benjamin and a gruop of Texas settlers took up arms and claimed a section of east Texas as an independant nation called fredia . they eve wrote a declaration of independance.in janarary of 1827 ,Mexican troops marched to put down the rebelion,and most of the rioters fled.some were capured and later relashed as stephen f. austin spoke on their behalf.
  • the battle of gonzales come and take it cannon all started in 1835. Ugartechea demanded that the person's of gonzales give the cannon up. This cannon DEWITT had gotten 4 years earlier and they buried the cannon in the orchard . Ugartechea had sent troops to force the cannon from their hands. The rebels dug up the cannon and put it onto the wagon.THE BATTLE OF GONZALES BEGAN and a flag was made  
  • On November,26,1835 a rumor began to spread saying  soldiers were carrying silver to pay Mexican troops Texans quickly attacked  the soldiers secessfuly and took their cargo they  soon found that there was no silver and it was just grass to feed there mules . the Texans were very much   disappointed  a few of them noticed the siege had been working because Mexican forces needed to feed there starving animals. And thats what created the grass fight , The grass fight has two valuble lessons.

  • on febuary 24,Mexican forces started to fire shots on the alamo. that day wiliam b. travis wrote a letter to the people in texas and all americans in the world.canons bombed the alamo for hours .Bowie who was sick fell on the second day of the siege. travis worried that Santa anna's army would soon lead a full on attack .

  • On march 27 anyone who had taken up arms against the Goverment must be executed. Mexican solders exucuted more than 400 Texans directly outside of Goliad. including fannins troops and Texan solders outside of Victoria. As shots began a few Texans ran and escaped. a few made it through the Goliad Massacre during the smoky confusion. 
  •  Texans attacked the Mexican soilders in their sleep.Mexican troops were wakened by the firering shots.Texans were screaming remember the alamo, remember goliad. san janicinto battle didnt last very long. when shots were no longer being fired Texans noticed 630 Mexican soliders were killed . Only 9 texan soilders were killed. Texas won its independance .
