Its a shame that this was the place where it happened. The towering buildings now crumbled to nothing, the dust still lingering in the air made me gag. The scent of the bomb still hung in the air, a sour metallic smell which burned my nose.
The trees had rough flaky bark, the ones that made it at least. All the fish had either been contaminated or sadly killed, and I could taste the same sourness that had been a smell earlier. There were buildings crumbling behind me, making a loud crash that drowned out the silence.
I didn't know if there was anybody left, all there was was rubble and ruin. Finally I made it, to the top of a large,dry, hill, where I could see more of the city. The toxin filled air stung my eyes as I gazed upon this wasteland.
