  • This is to tiring, Mardonius, you're in charge.
  • Attack Greece, on more time.
  • We can do this, fight with all you got.
  • When Xerxes returned to Persia, he left his general Mardonius in charge. 
  • They tried winning Greece through negotiations, though it didn't work. So it was clear that they had to make a final stand to conquer Greece, once and for all.
  • The Greek army had the most man power ever seen, with about 110,000 warriors. All gathered together from 30 Greek city-states.
  • This was boring, let conquer Asia.
  • The Persian army had a similar amount of soldiers or even more.
  • At the end of the battle, which was held on Plataea in 479 BCE, the Greeks pulled it off and won the battle
  • When the battle ended, finally king Xerxes lost his ambition to conquer Greece.
