  • Hello! I'm here to tell you about the Persian War. In the Persian War King Darius wanted to take over Greece. So Darius fought Greece. Sadly for Persia, Greece won.  
  • Persian War
  • The Persians landed at Marathon with 600 ships ordered by King Darius. After waiting 3 days for the Greeks, they started loading their ships. While loading their ships the Greeks caught them off guard and won the battle. 
  • Battle of Marathon
  • King Leonidas of Sparta controlled a military force of 7,000 soldiers into the Battle of Thermopylae. The Spartans was trying to defeat the Persians by cutting off their army's supplies from reaching Athens. A traitor helped the Persians attack the Greeks in a discreet manner. Sadly the Greeks lost and the Persians won the Battle.  
  • Battle Of Thermopylae 
  • In the Battle of Salamis, Themistocles of Athens devised a plan to attack Persia's ships. So the Athenians lured the Persians into a strait and  the Persian ships were to big to move around, so the Athenians were able attack the ships.  In the end, the Greeks won the Battle of Salamis. 
  • Battle Of Salamis 
  • In the Battle of Plataea,  the Greeks came together even stronger and formed the largest army yet. The Greeks defeated the Persian army. Persians after this Battle had no control over Greece city-states. Persia and Greece finally found peace with one another, although Persia weakened not long after the Battle. 
  • Battle Of Plateu 
  • After the Battle of Plataea, the Greeks went into a Golden Age. During the Greek Golden Age, Greece gave us great monuments, art, philosophy, architecture, and literature.
