well that's not fair, you don't have any concern for your own crew
"haha, i have all the hardtack, and you don't!!!"
Magellan had absolutely no concern for his crew, by taking away his own crews food rations (Pigefetta's journal).
Magellan had great navigational skills, in the strait of Magellan, he sent people out ahead to warn the rest of the crew that there was danger ahead. also he he was drinking the sea water in order to find out whether or not they were closer to the ocean ( Harper Collins book).
When Magellan's crew reached the Philippines, the people who lived there had a different religion, but Magellan tried to convince them that they should becomes Christians, but the people took offence to that and killed Magellan while crew watched.
