If we are going to have to live together, we might as well make the best of it!
First Encounter: While the pilgrims were living there everyday life, they heard a noise that scared them. they thought it might be an Indian; they were worried about them. They were ready to fight with weapons in hand.
Starving Time: After their safe encounter with the Indians, the year went on with some difficulties. The winter was brutal. Food was scarce; everyone was starving. They didn't have clothes to withstand a heavy winter.
Indian Relations: As more encounters began to occur between the Pilgrims and the Indians, they decided to make the best of their existence together and become friends. They taught each other many survival skills. they also came up with a 6 rule agreement for living together in harmony.
First Thanksgiving: The Indians and the Pilgrims had a huge feast to celebrate their new lives together as friends. They had everyone attend the big feast. This was meant to give thanks to one another.
