- You are always causing trouble. What would you do without me?
- But I'm good George. I just like fluffy things like a mouse.
- You and George must never be bored since you guys always have someone to talk to.
- He is a good friend. He is going to let me tend the rabbits!
- Is something wrong George? I like rabbits though!
- Lennie, just think of rabbits. You like rabbits right? That's all you need to think about.
- Geroge is complaining about not having time to do drink and party because he is taking care of Lennie. However, because he is taking care of Lennie, George has a responsibility to take care of Lennie which allows Geroge to not cause trouble for himself.
- Crooks is surprised that Lennie and Geroge have been sticking together and finding work together for such a long time. He is also envious of Lennie and George's companionship because they both have someone to talk and they won't get bored. However, because he is black, he has no friends or someone to talk to.
- George shooting Lennie in the head shows the bond the two friends have. Geroge didn't want Lennie to suffer at the hands of the police or Curley, so he did what he thinks was best for Lennie. He made sure Lennie died with a happy memory.
