- Holy Week is a week leading up to the time Jesus died and resurrected. Holy Week is one of the most important events in the christian candler.
- Good Friday
- Jesus and his followers went to Jerusalem . Jesus told his followers to bring him a donkey. He also told his followers to tell the people of Jerusalem that their king was coming. When Jesus arrived on the donkey their were lots of people their to greet him as a way of welcoming him the people waved palm leaves in front of Jesus. However the leaders of Jerusalem did not like all the attention Jesus was getting and they were jealous. Symbol: the palm leaves.
- Easter Saturday
- Holy Thursday is a time when Jesus and his followers came together for the Last Super. This is the last time Jesus had a meal with his followers. At the Last Super Jesus Passed around some bread and wine he called the bread his body and the wine his blood. after the super Jesus went to the garden to pray by himself. Symbol: the bread and wine.
- Easter Sunday
- Do not be afraid Jesus has risen!
- Good Friday is the day Jesus died on the cross. Jesus was forced to carry the cross all the way up the hill with a thorn crown on his head. He was nailed and tied to the cross next to two thieves. He soon died. Symbol: the cross
- On Easter Saturday Jesus was taken to the tum. Mary went to the tum to bless Jesus and then the tum stone was roled over. symbol: the tum
- Easter Sunday is the final event in holy week is is the day christian believe Jesus resurrected. Mary went to the tome to put more holy water on Jesus when she noticed that the tum stone had rolled away suddenly an angle appered. "Do not fear Jesus has risen!" said the angle. Mary was so shocked. This day shows that Jesus has power over dead and therefor he is the son of God. symbol: an angle
