The Prince and the pauper

  • The prince sees how they lower classed people gets treated, and kind of saves a boys life, Tom. They decide they look the same, and think nobody will notice if they change, the prince will go back to offal court, dressed in rags. The prince really wants to have fun like swim, roll in mud and all that stuff. The pauper wants to relax, and enjoy his life, not beg for food and get whooped.
  • Falling Action
  • Both boys struggle to get along with their "new" lives! They say that they are not who they really look like, but nobody believes them. Tom, now the "prince," kind of enjoys his life, and changes some unfair laws. It doesn't really talk that much about the prince's life, but one thing is that he got beat because he did not get money for his "dad."
  • Resolution
  • When the prince finds out they are going to crown the wrong person. .......(the chlorination) The real prince breaks out, of his enemies, and goes and declares that he is the real true prince, that he needs to be the king!
  • Theme
  • The Lord Protector questions the boys see who is the real, true king. When he asks about the long-gone missing Great Seal, the pauper admits he knows were it is, because he was cracking nuts with it!
  • The (real) prince is king now! He rewards Miles for his grateful help. He sees how life is as being lower than the king, and living in Offal Court. It offal!
  • "Don't always wish for the best, or else you might regret it!"
