  • Today was a bright, sunny autumn day, with the scorching sun dazzling in the beautiful blue sky (Sensory Language). But the moment I entered Mrs. Price's room, I knew something was terribly wrong. My red sweater was sitting on Mrs. Price's desk. But for the matter of fact that I didn't have the guts to up there and take it back, as it was in a dirty condition. The sleeves were torn. The neck part of the sweater was utterly messed up. In the middle of the sweater, a huge plop of paint ruined the true art of a beautiful sweater. My sweater became ruined when I had a fight with an 8th Grader named Kayla. She heaved out the yarn in my sweater, and then she took a bucketful of a disgusting green color shade, and surged it all on my sweater. After that fight, I left it in the lost and found because I knew my mom wouldn't be too happy to see my sweater like that, and I was expecting to see that sweater get transported to charity. But I never knew it would get in the hands of Mrs. Price. But one thing that agitated me was that my initials, PL, was written on the front of the sweater, so I am now literally praying that Mrs. Price, nor the rest of my class will find out that it was my sweater.
  • Rising Action
  • If the sweater's not Rachel's, then who's is it?
  • Uh...
  • Ok Rachel. I will find out myself who's sweater it is.
  • Then, the worst part of the day rolled by. Mrs. Price held my sweater up for the whole class to glance at. She inquired us, "Is this anybody's sweater?" I didn't have the guts to tell her it was mine, so I said "no" like everyone else did. But that's when I felt thankful for Sylvia Salvador. She blamed it all on Rachel. That completely made up Mrs. Price's mind. Everyone's eyeballs fell on Rachel. She was trying to confront that it wasn't hers. Then I blurted out, "I saw Rachel wear that sweater too!" I knew that was not the right thing to do. But what was done, was done. That made Mrs. Price confident and powerful. She demanded ,"Rachel, wear your sweater now!" I could see and feel Rachel's cheeks turning into crazy, hot fireballs.
  • Climax
  • Mrs. Price, just watch the culprit get busted now! We will get to know who's sweater this is now!
  • Yup! And the culprit will be given consequences!
  • "It...it...the...the sweater isn't mine", Rachel finally managed to utter a few words. She was devastated. I knew what it must be like to be getting forced to do something she wasn't guilty of. I didn't want to change the situation by admitting that it was my sweater. I just hushed. But soon, Rachel found Mrs. Price's weakness. She gave her a prolonged speech about how you cannot "punish" people without evidence. Right after that, Mrs. Price's face went redder and redder, like she was going to explode into millions of diminutive pieces! While Mrs. Price went her own way, I went to the state of anxiety, thinking Rachel is going to find out that I am the culprit.
  • Falling Action/Resolution
  • AHA!!! The culprit is Phyllis Lopez!
  • Phyllis Lopez!!! You have OSS for 3 days! So get ready to pack your bags, and go home!
  • And just about everything I predicted happened after that. "Okay. I am sorry. I will find out who's sweater that is", Mrs. Price said, dejected. I could tell Rachel was impressed with herself. She was as joyful as a person on their birthday. She was happy that she wasn't forced to something she wasn't guilty of. And I could also see Sylvia's curiosity, in knowing who's sweater it actually was. But I had my heart beating as quick as a cheetah when Rachel said something that had startled and scared me to death.
  • Oh no...I am dead meat.
  • PL
  • "Actually, Mrs. Price, I will find out who's sweater it is today, and now", Rachel said, exclaiming. She went to Mrs. Price's desk. Along the way, she grabbed the sweater by the fingertips. "I'm sure this sweater should have the owner's name or initials on here somewhere, and I am super sure you didn't check it", she said, "I am going to check it out right now so I can bust the culprit who said 'no' to taking their own sweater." Now do you get why I'm scared and startled? I'm going to get busted by Rachel now any second.
  • PL
  • Well, it didn't take a lot of time for Rachel to figure out who's sweater it was. She put my dirty sweater on Mrs. Price's desk, and the first thing she did, she saw was my name, which was on the front of my sweater. She then, right away, knew who's sweater it was. "Mrs. Price, the culprit is Phyllis Lopez!", Rachel screeched. She told Mrs. Price right away. So thanks to Rachel, I got OSS for three days, because of being guilty for not taking my own sweater, and not admitting. So Rachel basically ruined my 6th Grade year, and busted me. After that incident, Rachel became super popular for being a "Detective" in the Dirty Sweater Case. So, the Lesson for this story is: "Just admit the truth right away, then the consequence may be short."
