The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street Theme:Words are as hurtful and as brutal as violence.
Goodman is the alien!
He always looks up at the stars!!
As you can see here. The whole neighborhood assumed that goodman is the alien just because his car turned on by itself. Goodman was also very astonished by this as well.
The theme I chose was Word are as hurtful and as brutal as violence. The reason why I chose that them was because in every box you see they are either screaming at people and calling them aliens or accusing them that they are the alien. In the first box they are screaming at Goodman just because his car started and theirs didn't. People should not attack people just because there is something different that they don't have. In the second box they are criticizing Goodman just because he looks up at the stars. They did not consider that he looks up at the star maybe because he has an issue. Last but not lest box 3. This box really demonstrates the meaning of my theme. They are screaming at Tommy just because he was saying what he knew and that could have helped them in stead they tuned it into a problem. In conclusion, you should never assume.
As you can see The neighbor hood is attacking Goodman just because he looks up at the stars. It is not good to assume people.
They are really hurting Tommy's feeling by screaming at him and telling him he as an alien.
