  • We sailed here from England  and called the town Salem
  • We are the Puritans!
  • Also to spread our religion
  • Anne Hutchinson questioned the Puritans and spoke out against them and left them to settle to Rhode Island
  • Roger Williams believed that the puritans should not punish people for differant belifs
  • Thomas Hooker left Massachusetts because he disagreed with the leaders he then formed Conneticut
  • We went to church every single Sunday. During the week, the kids went to school while the parents had jobs like farming and blacksmithing.  It was hard work!
  • The main schoolroom always had a fireplace for those cold winter days.
  • Our main subject is always reading.  Can you believe we only have 1 room and 1 teacher in our whole school!
  • We have a free-market system we choose what prices we sell our things for whcih is how we make money.
  • The trade was for English -made wine and goods and spices. The triangle trade route was a water route for trade in the shape of a triangle delivering goods throughout the Atlantic Ocean.
