It was a cold winter morning, Songbird was bathing her little sister, Sky, in the bitter cold stream.
Afterward, Songbird grabbed the buffalo hide to warp her little sister. Sky let out a terrible scream. "Quiet little one, we will be done in a short while," said Songbird, but it was too late. Sky had wiggled her way out of Songbids arms.
For a second, she froze. Braving her fear of water she dove into the water, but by this time Sky was drifting down the stream.
Just as SongBird was going to allow herself to be taken down, the god of water sent a miracle Sky got caught in some reeds. Songbird then grabbed Sky.
As the pair continued down the stream, Songbird spied a low hanging branch and pulled them both to safety.
That was the proud day for the chief, Chief Big Thunder. His eldest daughter had proven herself not only to be a useful daughter but a brave scout as well.
