Storyboard Text

  • Hi Jake. Did you do the science essay assignment?
  • Good Morning Maria. Yes, I did, but It was easy since I copied and pasted most of it.
  • *stands up*What! That is plagiarism, and it's a crime!
  • I havent heard of it being a crime. Why is that?
  • *Bus Driver yells: we're at school*
  • It violates legal ownership of an intellectual property since you're avoiding creating your own ideas.
  • No! that is another way of doing plagiarism . You need to cite sources.
  • Oh ok. I will just paraphrase it.
  • Eventhough you might not believe by using quotations, copying word-by-word, copying and just changing a few words with synonyms, mixing various works, or even recycling old homeworks for new assignments, you are plagiarizing.
  • Then How would I know if I am doing plagiarism?
