  • Hey Ms. ABCD tell me more about the Zimmerman Telegram
  • The Zimmerman Telegram is about when the German foreign Minister, Arthur Zimmermann sent a note to the German Minister to Mexico, Von Eckhardt, telling them that if they help Germany they will give Mexico some of the united state's territory
  • Let's go back in time to see what the United States did with the Zimmerman Telegram
  • WHATTTT!!!!!!! Why is the Germans asking Mexico for their help and in return for OUR TERRITORIES!?!?!?!? I declare That the United States will go against the Germans and win the War!!
  • As you can see here a British decipher is explaining to president William Mckinlley the purpose of the Zimmerman Telegram
  • Uhh sir it seems we have deciphered the note and it uhh it seems like the Germans are asking Mexico to help win the war in return to gain the United States territories
  • so what I've learned about the Zimmerman Telegram is that the German foreign minister sent a note to Mexico asking them for help in WWI in return for U.S territories.
  • Correct! Also because of this cause it led the United States to joined WWI to go against Germany. another country that possibly joined the war could be Mexico because the Germans asked Mexico for their help to aid them in the war. After United States declared victory they also gained $2 billion at the end of the war.
