Storyboard Text

  • It is important that state government also decides when school ends. You wouldn't want to be stuck in school during nighttime! The thought of that is a nightmare.
  • I don't care what you have to say; let me out of this school! All the students are asleep, you maniac! I want to go home!
  • Now, now, Noah. Calm down. I'll let you out if you admit state government has a huge impact on your life.
  • Anyways, most cops in your city are usually local cops, unless you get pulled over on the highway. They're there to keep you safe. Not to annoy you. I swear.
  • Sir, I assure you that was well over 70.
  • I was below 65mph!
  • Even though the police may pull you over for speeding, or other minor problems, they can sometimes save your life.
  • Okay, you're cool, but just this once.
  • Yeah, that doesn't look so good...okay, the fire department is coming. Stay calm.
  • However, one of the most important responsibilities of local government is providing water for the people. Water is essential, after all.
  • Nearly everything we depend on is provided to us by government, so we have to abide by their regulations and rules. This ensures that others can have the same benefits.
  • We, the people of the United States of America, depend on government to run our society as a whole and to maintain order. Perhaps we can all learn a thing or too from this system.
  • This comic was designed and made by Clayton Lee, 8F, Section 4 Civics. Don't claim you made this comic or I will find you. I know who and where you are.
