- She's so cute she's like a mini human. I can't believe you carried that in your belly for nine months.
- Don't be silly! She wasn't this big all the time she had to develop inside my belly.
- Wait what!? This baby completely formed in my moms belly. This is fascinating I'm going to ask the doctor about it.
- Hi doctor! I wanted to ask you how do babies develop inside a mothers tummy, and how they stay alive and grow once their born.
- I can help you with that! Pay close attention!

- The first thing that has to happen for a baby to be created is fertilization. Here a sperm will fuse with an egg and result in the creation of a zygote. The first cell of the organism.
- That's so cool! But how are more cells made after? Do more eggs need to be fertilized for more cells to be created?
- Nope! The zygote can divide to replicate itself with the same genetic material through a process called cell division. One of the ways cell division happens in through mitosis. Before we go any further let me explain cell division to you!
