Storyboard Text

  • Siddhartha lived a palace in India, where he got everything handed to him. Between the time of the fourth and sixth centuries B.C., about 2,300 to 2,500 years ago.
  • One day Siddhartha comes out the palace sees sick and suffering and old men. He asks his friend "Cans this happen to me?" He responses with "yes."
  • He stayed outside the palace and starved himself to avoid any pleasures like the holy men. Siddhartha did eat and meditated, soon after he reached nirvana and soon after became the awakened one. then he realized people were brought together by suffering.
  • Buddhism is is religion that refelcts on your behavior more than your beliefs. Suffering is something that units people, and its usually caused by wanting something.
  • They all want something but they are not acting appropriate.
  • Buddhism spread becasue monks were sent to spread the religion and and teach people who didn't know. Buddhism spread because of the Silk Road as well.
  • Now Buddhism and other religions are spread in so many different ways. Buddhism has spread to Nepal, central Asia, Burma, Tibet, Japan, and China. Buddhism is so popular because they accept anyone from different ages, races, or social classes.
