  • In 1974, farmers discovered the mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang(means first emperor)
  • In the Mausoluem they found over 8000 terracotta soldiers/horses,wood chariots, bronze/iron, farm implements, leather bridles, silk. linen, jade, bone, weapons and a lot more.
  • Qui Shi Huang came to the throne at the age of 13 and was innivative and felt he could consolidate his rule through modernisation. He introduced standardisation of of currency, measurments and writing.
  • Qin Shi Huangdi understood the importance of the connection of his people and therefore designed a netwrk of roads and canel to connect his people.
  • 
  • One of Qin Shi Huangdi most signifcant achievements is the Great wall of China and the importance of assembly line style production and construction.
  • Qin Shi Huangdi was obsessed with eternal afterlife and he thought that mercury had life giving power that would help him with eternal life which can be seen with the large amounts of mercury found in the tomb.
