  • Similarities
  • Similarities
  • Hmmm
  • Really?
  • This paw grants you three wishes but be careful each wish has a consequence.
  • Similarities
  • In both stories their curiosity led to awful consequences and evil things. Why it is in "Pandora's box", is because Pandora was given an object which was a box that when she opened evil spirits let out in to the world. And in "Monkey's Paw", Herbert's father was given a monkey paw that when he wishes something, another thing is that after the wish their will be a consequence.
  • Differences
  • Oh No! should I open it?
  • No
  • How these two stories compare is because both of these stories have a mystery. in “Pandora’s box” we thought it was a mystery of what is inside the box. in "Monkeys Paw" Mr. White was mysteriously given a monkeys paw which would allow him to have 3 wishes.
  • Differences
  • Oh No! My son died
  •
  • Differences
  • The differences in the story is that they both have different storylines. In "Pandora's Box", Pandora was given a box on which she married Empheseus and both wanted to know what was in the box. In "Monkeys Paw" A person named Mr. White was given a paw by an old man on which he wished for 200 pounds, but his son died when he got his wish.
  • I got Money!
  • Another reason the 2 stories are different is because they both have different problems to solve. In "Pandora's Box" Pandora finally opened the box but when she did evil spirits went up in the sky free from the box. And in "Monkeys Paw" Mr. White received a paw that would grant him 3 wishes but they would resolve in consequences on which he had to face.
