the next morning polyphemus prepared two more men for dinner and led his flock out of the cave, quickly replacing the boulder behind him.
Help!Nobody is killing me!
Odysseus looked to Athens for guidance when he noticed a large piece of olive wood that Polypemus had in the cave.
Odysseus and four of his men hoisted the olive wood into the fire to harden the tip so that they could stab polyphemus in the eye while he slept.
when Polyphemus asks odysseys what his name is odysseys replies with "nobody," so Polyphemus thinks that is his name. when odysseys stabs Polyphemus, Polyphemus screams that nobody is killing him, so no one comes to help him.
Now, Polyphemus is blind, and they could kill him if they wanted to. they decide not to, because then they would be trapped in the cave, since none of them can open it. instead, they tie themselves under the sheep and when Polyphemus lets his sheep out,
After Polyphemus is blinded Odysseus and his men run down to the shore and escape the island of the cyclops.
