Hello I'm George, bush, and I'm here today to talk to you about photosynthesis.
Photosynthesis is the process by which green plants, and some other autotrophs create organic molecules that they can use as food, in the form of glucose.
But where does photosynthesis happen?
In the chloroplasts of course. An organelle found in green photosynthesising organisms where they perform photosynthesis.
Chloroplasts are green because of the pigment chlorophyll, which allows the chloroplasts to harness the energy of sunlight.
Photosynthesis also requires water and carbon dioxide. These molecules are broken down using the sunlight energy and rearranged in the from of Glucose.
Its written out like this:6CO2 + 6H2O -----> 602 +C6H12O6
Or, 6 carbon dioxide + 6 water + light energy --> 6 Oxygen and Glucose
Photosynthesis is important because it
