Storyboard Text

  • I'm only 9 and I'm being forced to cut down apples!
  • This is known as a thing called Child Labor. In 2000 it was estimated that more than 200 million children between ages 5 and 14 (including some 75 million 9 years of age or younger) were forced into Child Labor. Child Labor is a big problem that needs to be stopped.
  • OWWWWW!
  • It slipped!
  • Children going through Child Labor are treated very badly. Lots of them are working in unsafe working conditions and using unsafe objects and substances. One story to prove this is a underage girl named Beth who was filling bottles of bleach and burned her eyes because of the chemicals.
  • Help me!I'm sooo Hungry!
  • Most children going through Child Labor are poorly feed. The children are paid way under minimum wage and have no money for food unless they save up for days or even weeks. Beth who works in a bleach factory said that one time she was fed vegetables with worms in them.
