the crusades were a migration of people from Europe to the holy lands. the people were christian armies. they began the crusades because they wanted to reclaim the holy lands and by a desire to protect christitans and to slow the spread to Islams. There were Four crusades, from 1096-1204
England dominated the early years of the war. Won the notable battles of cercy (1346) and agincourt (1415) with the help of the longbow. Some English forces also used primitive cannons to attack far off forces.

Joan of Arc was a 17 year old peasant who belived God had chosen her to save France. She lead a seris of mayor victories in (1426) and (1430). She was captured by the english and exceuted by burning in (1431). afterwards the french considered her a martyn.
