  • I Wish i knew what to do for tomorrows test in physical science
  • whats your name
  • who are You?
  • how do I know your a solid
  • my name is Ernando
  • I'm matter and I can help you with your problem and I can be a solid liquid or gas but right now i'm a solid
  • simple my molecules they are very compact and don't move around much
  • although I can be any form of matter just if you change my energy maybe by adding heat I can be a liquid
  • well what makes a liquid a liquid or a gas a gas
  • so it is just a change in molecules or energy for phase change
  • the   helpful matter
  • the difference in molecules is that we move faster then a solids molecules and are less compact
  • well see i'm now a liquid what makes liquids is special is we fill the shape of our container
  • precisely and you don't know all of them yet but there are many different types of phase changes
  • A gasses molecules are very fast and the molecules aren't compact and the only way to contain a gas is to keep it in a container and keep a lid on it otherwise it would escape don't confuse vaporization with evaporation
  • Now i'm a gas the third state of matter there is a fourth state of matter called plasma but we can't find this type of matter on earth
  • correct
  • what makes gas different  then the other states of matter
  • So gasses are the fastest of the three
  • Can anything else effect the qualities of the three states of matter
  • Yes pressure is the really big one
  • if you change the pressure in a state  of matter such as a gas that is inverse you can change if from a gas to a solid without having to go to liquid form first
  • Do all states of matter have and energy or different types of energy
  • Yes all objects have energy such as kinetic energy whether or not it is stored or not
  • what are all types of phase changes Ernando
  • Thank you so much Ernando
  • No problem I'm glad to help
  • well their is solid to liquid melting, liquid to gas vaporization, gas to solid deposition, gas to liquid condensation, solid to gas sublimation, liquid to solid freezing
