Squirrel, Fox, and Penguin were hanging out one day when Fox whipped out a coin. Squirrel gasped and exclaimed, "I want the coin!"
Penguin grabbed the coin and put it behind his back. "You can have it if you guess which hand it's in! You have a 1 out of 2 chance to get it right." Squirrel thought for a moment before picking the right hand.
"Wrong! It's in the left hand!" Penguin laughed. "Let's try again!" Fox grabbed the coin and put it under one of his paws while squirrel wasn't looking. "Now, you have a one out of four chance to get it right," explained Fox. Squirrel thought for a moment before choosing the wrong paw once again.
Squirrel demanded that they try again. Fox and Penguin agreed and took him down to the shore where they found the squid, who seemed eager to play this guessing game with them. He grabbed the coin and hid it under a tentacle while Squirrel wasn't looking, "Now, you have one in eight chances," smirked Penguin.
Squirrel thought long and hard before choosing a tentacle. There was a period of shocked silence as Squid revealed the coin under the tentacle chosen by Squirrel. Fox gasped in disbelief. "But.. You only had a one in eight chance to get it right! The chances were so slim!"
Squirrel happily took the coin from Squid. "The chances were slim, but I had a chance regardless," he explained. Squirrel clutched the coin close to him and ran off, content with his choice.
