Battle of bosworth

- The battle of Bosworth began on the 22nd of august 1485.it was between Henry Tudor (Henry VIII) and king Richard III. Henry landed in wales with 2000 men and then gained 1500 more of which were french.
- I’m gonna kill you
- By August 12th Henry had 5000 men by his side Henry's stepfather (lord Stanley) secretly gave Henry money. Stanley's eldest son was being held prisoner by Richard II therefore had not joined his side yetI. Henry had also gained soldiers from many other sources.
- I need an army

- The two leaders were scheduled to meet before the battle although Henry did not know he was being lured in to a trap . When the 2 met Richard III had an army of 12000 men and Henry with 5000 however 4000 of Richards soldiers were Lord Stanley's (Henry's stepfather.
- I have more men
- The battle began and went on for around 2-3 hours before Richard III was fed up and urged to go kill Henry himself. He then left his body guards and charged towards Henry.
- Richard charged towards Henry but Stanley ordered his 4000 men to protect Henry and therefore they did. Richard died and was buried in leicster .
- We can now claim ourselves victors of this battle
- The defeat of King Richard III had ended the war of the roses and introduced the reign of the tudors . By maryying Elizabeth of York Henry unified the houses of both Lancaster and York
