  • we are the Assyrians we lived in Mesopotamia for a long time. We created great weapons and new war stateries.
  • Sargon of Akkad was the first ruler. His greatest achievement is that he had created the world's first empire. After defeating the king of the city of uruk, he gained control of all Mesopotamia including Sumer.

  • Hammurabi was the next ruler to unite all of Mesopotamia. But he wasn't only the ruler he was a king. He was known for his code of laws espcially his bad ones. Some laws were harsh but hammurabi code was notable achievement.
  • Babylonian Empire
  • The Assyrians created the next great empire in Mesopotamia. They lived in Mesopotamia for a long time making their own empire before Hammurabi conquered them. Their greatest achievement were their new weapons and war stateries. A strategy they used was army soldiers camp outside a city and repeatdly attack it until the city falls. When they rose in power again Assyrian rulers began training an army for war hoping to expand their territory.

  • The Babylonian once again took control. They had a new name for the empire called Neo-Babylonian and a new famous king named Nebuchadnezzar ll. He was ruthless military leader. He expanded his empire when he can. He also rebuilt the city's of Ziggurat.
  • Babylonian empire thrived under Hammurabi. Babylonian was on the banks of the Euphrates River. It was an important center of trade. They traded grain and woven cloth for wood and way more. Woman had more rights. They could own property and keep money of their own.

  • Hammurabi's code is a set of laws. He has all of his law's on a eight feet stele. Hammurabi wrote the laws in 1750 till 1686. Hummurabi's punishment if anyone breaks a law were crazy. The punishment was equal to a crime. Hammurabi code were very complex. Hammurabi govern his kingdom and unify various groups universal.
