- The Quartering Act
- We have a new law. It's called the quartering act.
- I do not like this new rule.
- Give me your taxes!!
- The Stamp Act
- Never!!!!!!!!!
- Britain was making the rules and the colonist did not like that. Having Britain making the laws without the colonist having to say was wrong. Briton was also making the colonist pay for all the new rules they have.
- The Boston Massacre
- The British left thousand of soldiers to protect the colonist. Britain thought that the colonist should help for the army. In 1775 Britain had a new law called the quartering act. The colonist did not like the new law.
- The Boston Tea Party
- Giving a tax on anything they needed or use. The stamp act was repealed due to colonist complaining and that it was int fair. Anything made out of paper products [printed] [cards, news paper, marriage].
- The Intolerable Act
- Never!!!
- You will pay for destroying the tea.
- Massacre started colonist were angry with the soldiers. The soldiers [captain Preston] said "fire" "don't fire". [snow balls]. Paul Ravere warned that the British were coming. Five people died from the soldiers.
- Don't Fire!! Fire!!!
- Britain tasted the tea. Told the colonist they could only bay from the East India tea. People dressed up as Indians and destroyed the tea at the Boston ship. They dumped 90,000 pound of loose tea into the ocean.
- Throw away the tea. That's all we'r here for.
- Laws that were so harsh that the colonist will not tolerate them or accept them. Boston part Act closed the harbors so trade ships could not come or leave. This started the first Continental congress.
