Willie asks his mother what's wrong with the homeless man. She tells him he is unhappy. Willie realizes his mother is also unhappy with her life.
Willie decides to give the homeless man a nickel after finding out that he is unhappy. The man thanks Willie.
Willie wants to find a cure for unhappiness. The man asks Willie for cake if he wants the cure to unhappiness, Willie gives him the whole cake. The man tells him, "What a person needs is always more than they say."
Willie's mother calls the cops on the homeless man for being a nuisance. Willie tells his mother she is a fish that lives in a cave. He says he knows how to keep people from being unhappy. He walks away and she follows.
