A colony is an area in which a foreign country grabs a bit of land.
In order to get this land, England had to fight the French and wars are not cheap so Britain decided to tax the colonists. But colonist didn't really admire the plan. Colonists decided that Britain had to have their government in the colonies. So the colonists came up with the phrase " No taxation without representation."
The phrase basically means that if there wasn't anyone in the colonies the Parliment should not ta them since they didn't know what it's like in the colonies.
The Boston Massacre was British men shooting in a crowd of protesters. The event caused 10 to be injured and 6 out of those 10 killed. The British shot into the crowd because of an event earlier, a colonist said to a soldier a curse and the officer got mad and hit the colonist in the head. then the colonist ran back in the crowd. The colonists realized what happened and drew a big crowd of protesters. They shouted to the soldiers and the anger boiled over and the British shot the crowd.
