What the settlers/soldiers hoped to accomplish in The Wounded Knee Massacre
What the Native Americans hoped to accomplished
The settlers/soldiers feared that the new ,"Ghost Dance", would encourage the Indians to go to war against the Americans. So, soldiers decided to go address the situation and stop the Indians' belief in a new world without white men.
The Native Americans hoped that the "Ghost Dance" would reject the ways of the white man and the gods would create the new world and destroy all non-believers, including non-Indians.
