The intorable acts took place after the Boston tea party. They were desinged to punish the colonists for the tea party. Boston Harbor was closed until all tea was payed for. The government was placed under British control. Troops who would be tried for murder would be tried in England, and more troops were sent to Boston.

When the British were marching to battle, Paul Revere road ahead of the army on his horse. He stopped at towns, and warned them of the British. This let the militias assemble and get ready to fight. Paul Revere riding on his horse, warning towns of the British led to the Militias victory in Lexington.
