The Massachusetts Bay colony was a religious Settlement, and believed that there are witches. So they had the Salem witch trials to make sure the "witches" were executed. (Some were hang, or one was crushed by rocks).
Roanoke is known as "The Lost Colony". Because when they returned back from gathering supplies, the colony was gone and all that was left was a word carved into a tree, "Croatoan".

The Quaker colony was a religious colony, but liked everyone because to them in gods eyes everyone is equal. No matter who you are, or what you believed.

Plymouth was a religious colony, they were Separatists. Separatists came to north america to separate from the church of England so they could have religious freedom.
Georgia was a settlement made so that the prisoners of England could start a life there. Nobody wanted to settle there because the Spanish would be right next to them. For money they farmed.
