Tea Act May 1773
On the 16th of December 1773 there was a meeting of the citizens to decide what should be done about the tax
They then went to the governor to see if it were him if he would do anything about it and he told them that he would give them an answer by 5 o'clock
Later that day they went back to the governor's house to find that he had left and went to his country seat at milton, six miles away, there was murmuring among the members and they decided what to do.
They then dressed themselves as indians and 2 by 2 walked to Griffin's Wharf where the ships containing the tea were docked, they claimed that they were Indians from Narragansett.
When they got there they divided them into three parties prior to boarding the three ships, the commander ordered someone to go to the captain and demand the keys to the hatches and a dozen candles. The captain did just that and requested that they don't damage the ship or rigging
