When Mai was growing up, her home wasn't the best place for her. She was abused by her family members. Mai got good grades, volunteered for the community. It was a very hard time for her because of the abusing pain for her. She had thoughts of suicide.
But she didn't want to die, she wanted things to change. Her parents refuged from Nothern Thailand, and in those cultures, you weren't supposed to talk about your personal things. She knew that something was wrong as she couldn't sleep and concentrate in school. Child protected services visited a couple of times and they recommend her to go to consulting.
