  • The British commit an act of state terrorism on March 5, 1770. Following an attempted rebellion by Boston citizens, British troops stationed there decided to open fire on the unprepared citizens. The American Revolution began when five people were killed.
  • The Signing of the Declaration of Independence
  • A group of patriot rebels known as the " Sons of Liberty " boarded a British cargo ship carrying a big supply of tea on December 15th. In protest of the British Tea Act, they then proceed to spill a large amount of tea into Boston Harbor. This eventually leads to the American Revolution's first major battle.
  • The Battle of Saratoga
  • The first major fight between the British and the Americans started on June 17, 1775. A force of around 2000 British troops attempted and managed to take Bunker Hill from the Continental Army. They recognized Bunker Hill as an important vantage point from which they may force the Americans to lose the power of Boston.
