Jacob and Eli are discussing war. Jacob (left) believes that just war is always an appropriate strategy. Eli (right) is a pacifist. Jacob asked Eli why he is a pacifist.
Eli: "I believe that war does not and cannot solve any issue at hand. The result of war is often mass destruction, many deaths, and it leaves us with so much to reform. I don't think war should occur under any circumstances because of the harm it causes."
Jacob: "I see. But I believe in just war, which guarantees that the war will have an outcome in favor of one side, and that each side will receive the means necessary to perform in the war. I think war is justified in that case."
