In this future of the Earth, we are united, fighting a war against aliens known as buggers. Ender has been watched his whole life by the government, they're interested in having him join in the fight against the buggers.
At battle school, Ender is faced with a series of challenges, never failing to impress the men testing him. Raising in the ranks quickly, he is thrown into battles in which he is at a planned disadvantage
Many of the older boys grow to hate Ender, as he is more accomplished than them at such a young age, and consistently beating them in battles.
When he is cornered and attacked by a group of boys who are much bigger than him, he is forces to fight back, killing an attacker.
Being quickly taken back to Earth by the head of battle school, Ender is brought to a small home by a lake.
And after spending three quiet months alone on Earth, he is taken back into space, for the next step of his training.
Ender is met with a former war hero, who is prepared to take him through completion of commander school.
Ender finally makes it to what he believes is the end of his training, but what is actually the end of the bugger wars. Facing what seems like an impossible simulation, Ender defeats the odds and wins the final battle of the war.
Ender is met with many of his old friends from battle school through what he thinks are simulation battles, and they work together to defeat the buggers.
What Ender doesn't know is that he is commanding real ships fighting against real buggers, and what he is told are simulations are not simulations at all.
After defesting the buggers, Ender is reunited with is sister from Earth, and they decide to travel the solar system together, and never return.
