Austin Carr "Rumble Fish"
Rusty lived in poverty.
One of "Rumble Fish" themes is life isn't fair
The second theme is that if a kid's parents have bad habits then the kid will probably take that habit for their selves.
Rusty's dad drank too much and when he was a kid Rusty drank too.
Rusty never gives up even when he was stabbed in the second chapter
Steve put all the pressure and made himself think it was his fault because he mom was in the hospital.
I liked the book because things that happen in the book happen in real life and I enjoyed making connetions. I think it was both engaging and exciting because it left you on the edge of your seat and also put off and good but also dark energy. It could have been better if they put rusty going to see his mom.
