The Roman Empire started to collapse around the 15th century. The Roman Empire stated to decline in the 15th century because people stated to go in poverty and there was no law in order.
The medieval civilizations were unfair because some people had more rights and honor then other people. For example the structure that then people had was a king, noble, church official, knights, and finally at the bottom peasants or serfs.
Everyday life in medieval ages
Feudalism was the structure that the people had. For example the peoples structure was the king who was the highest honor. After him was a noble or church official. The it would be a knight. The last and lowest a peasant. Peasants had no rights. The nobles and knights would swear loyalty to the king and in return the king gave them land and protection.

The church officials were the second most important. They were important because of the religion and they were the only ones that could read. So people would do what ever the church official said. Also the church officials would sometimes help peasants or serfs.
Rich or normal citizens ate a lot of bread or porridge. On holy days or holidays they ate meat or fish. The people rarely ate egg because it was a rare food. Chickens were very expensive and if you bought one you would have to think about the coyotes and other animals that might try to eat it. Also rich people would eat so much there stomachs would get bigger and that would also show that they were rich.
There were also poor people. Poor or also known as peasants ate very little and would usually either get stale bread or eat rats. Many people drank 1 gallon off wine or beer because clean water was hard to get. Since Peasants ate very little they were thin and either had wool shirts and linen undergarments. Houses were cold, dark, and damp.
