I skipped school to go be a voyager, because my father can not be a voyager because he chopped off his finger with an ax. When I do this I will be leaving behind Celeste and my family back home.
My first day being a voyager is very tiring and painful. The worst part is that I won't be able to see my family and friends for a long time. Some of my crew members aren't pleasant but Emile is one of my old classmates and he only left school a few years ago.
The walk felt very long and some of my crew members weren't very pleasant because they out extra supplies for me to carry also having a blistering hand didn't help with the carry.
We are crossing lake Huron, when we started out the weather was fine so we left the shoreline and crossed through the middle of the lake but 30 min later a big storm came and we took on water and lost LaLonde in the rapids. I'm not holding up too well after LaLonde died but we're almost at Grand Portage.
When we could see Grand Portage I was exited we were there but I was disappointed that it wasn't as grand as I thought it would be.I also met Mukwa and Kennewa.
I am finally home after the long voyage. Being a voyager was hard at first but after I got the hang of it and after LaLonde gave me a doe skin handle on my paddle it started getting easy. All in all being a voyager was hard and painful but it was also fun and exciting so I will be signing up next year.
