After Mohammad got to shelter he had to make a life depending decision. Either go back to Africa and become a soldier or stay in Thailand and live undocumented for his life? Again, he chose to stay in Thailand and hope to not get caught.
Mohammad made the best decision, he was able to have a great education, meet new people and he took on the sport soccer. He became so good at soccer that he would travel around the country with his friends. Although nobody knew that he had no passport.
At age 16 Mohammad was about to go on another soccer trip, but the Thailand police finally caught on to him. The police arrested him. In all the time Mohammad had he again had to make a very hard decision. Go back to Somali or stay in jail for a good amount of time.
The Asylum Access group that Mohammad became close with setup a court date at the police. And Mohammad chose to stay in Thailand and just hope for the best. He had a feeling of nervousness and fear in the court room. There were some people there to backup Mohammad's protest.
With the best situation that could have happened the judges agreed to let Mohammad live outside of the squalid detention centers. So now, Mohammad will be able to live a nice life with his friends and get a good education for good.
