One day after school, Alex went into his room and found a huge rat sitting on his bed, staring menacingly. Bravley, Alex set out to get rid of this menace from his peaceful home.
The rat quickly ran from Alex's room to the babies bedroom, jumping above the cradle. There was a 5 ft gap between Alex and the rat, and he rat was 4 ft above the ground. Alex needed to find the angle from him to the rat, and using sin-1(4/5), he discovered the angle was 53 degrees.
The rat then jumped away and ran to the living room, when Alex followed, he realized the angle between him and the rat was 45 degrees and the amount of space between Alex and the base of the rat was 7 ft. To find the distance between Alex and the rat itself, he needed to do 7/cos(45) and found out the distance was around 10 ft.
The rat quickly ran to the bathroom on top of the cabinet. When Alex arrived, he saw that the angle between him and the rat was 60 degrees and the rat was 6 feet from the ground to find the distance between himself and the base of the rat, Alex used 6*tan(60) and found the distance was around 2 feet.
Having no where else to run, Alex finally caught the rat and restored peace to his home. Yeah.
