Storyboard Text

  • The Crucible By: Arthur Miller Act IV
  • Excellency if you postpone a week and publish to the town that you are striving for their confessions, that speak mercy on your part, not faltering.
  • I beg you, woman, prevail upon your husband to confess. Let him give his lie. It may well be God damns liars less than he that throws his life away for pride. Will you plead with him?
  • As you will, I would have it. I want you living, John. That's sure.
  • Spite only keeps me silent. It is hard to give a lie to dogs.
  • Because it is my name! Because I cannot have another in my life! Because I lie and sign myself to lies!
  • He have his goodness now. God forbid I take it from him!
  • Go to him, Goody Proctor! There is yet time!
  • Woman plead with him!
