Jays Treaty was a treaty that helped the U.S and Great Britain stop wars, and solve problems that were made from the treaty of Paris.
It resolved territorial disputes, and granted american ships free navigation through the Mississippi River, and duty free transport through New Orleans. It also defined the border between the U.S.A and Spanish Florida.
