  • Rome is a peninsula which is surrounded by water on all three sides. Rome was also shaped like a boot
  • Influence of Etruscan Sports
  • The myth is that they took the babies and put them in the river. They were suppose the drown but they didn't. Instead they floated down the river and a wolf found them. It took the babies back to the cave they lived n and raised them. One day a man saw them and while the wolves were sleeping he took them to raise them as their own children. 
  • Influence of Greek Architecture
  • one important thing they got was the arches. two pillars supported a half circle. they were made of stone. 
  • Influence of Greek Art, Religion, and Writing
  • Two sports the Romans got was slave fighting and chariot racing. The slave fights were during funerals. Two slaves of the dead master fought to death with swords and shields. The chariot races sometimes resulted in injury or death. 
  • The Romans used the Greek columns for the architecture and built their temples out of marble. They also took the idea of the semi circle but they out to together to make a whole circle.
  • The Etruscan took the Greek alphabet and changed it. The Romans then took the changed version.  In art the Romans liked Greek pottery, painting, and sculpture. The Romans also adapted many Greek gods asntheir own
